Modernizing the Taste of Sunnyvale

Shosha Restaurant, a premier destination for elegant Indian dining in Sunnyvale, approached us with a critical disconnect: their culinary experience was refined and modern, but their digital presence was temporary and disjointed. They lacked the visual storytelling and functional tools necessary to convert casual browsers into high-value diners and event clients.

The mission was to engineer a sleek, photo-centric digital flagship. We needed to build a platform that not only captured the brand's "elegant yet playful" essence through a custom aesthetic but also robustly supported complex operational needs like private event bookings and real-time reservations.

Visual Content Gaps: The client was in transition between photo shoots, requiring a design that looked stunning with stock placeholders but was ready for a seamless upgrade to professional assets.

Operational Silos: Key revenue drivers—reservations and private events—were not integrated, causing friction for users trying to book banquet halls.

Brand Differentiation: The market is crowded; Shosha needed to stand out with a unique identity rather than a generic "curry house" template.

The Goals

Scalable Architecture: Build a flexible "container" for photography that allows the site to evolve visually without code changes.

Streamlined Booking: Integrate TripleSeat and OpenTable natively to capture leads for both the main dining room and the two banquet halls.

Distinctive Branding: Execute a Soft Pink and Lush Green palette to reflect the restaurant's modern, gastropub-inspired interior.

Strategy & Approach
Phase 1: Visual Strategy & Immersion

To mirror the restaurant's physical ambiance, we moved away from standard grids. We implemented overlapping sections and curved dividers to create a fluid, modern feel. The color story—Soft Pink (#ffc0cb) paired with Lush Green (#007b36)—was chosen to evoke freshness and elegance, breaking the mold of traditional dark-red Indian restaurant themes.

Phase 2: Functional Integration

We treated the website as a business tool, not just a brochure. We embedded TripleSeat’s lead capture forms directly into dedicated "Private Events" pages, allowing users to inquire about specific banquet halls without leaving the site. Simultaneously, we integrated Google Street View to offer a virtual tour, compensating for the initial lack of custom photography.

Phase 3: SEO & Content Engineering

We crafted the homepage intro content specifically for search intent, targeting keywords related to "Fine Dining Sunnyvale." The layout heavily utilizes high-impact hero imagery to immediately establish the "wow" factor, supported by clear, sticky CTAs for high-frequency user actions.
