Project Overview
Sipping Paris in the Heart of Gonzales

Creperesso launched in 2025 with a clear vision: bringing a fresh, French-inspired café experience to Gonzales, LA. Specializing in signature crepes, waffles, and specialty espresso, the brand needed a digital introduction that matched its modern, dine-in atmosphere. However, launching a new concept often means launching with limited assets; the business needed to build credibility and excitement without a library of professional photography.

The mission was to create a high-impact, single-page digital storefront. We needed to craft a cohesive brand story using strong typography and strategic color palettes to fill the visual gaps, ensuring the site not only looked appetizing but actively drove online ordering and VIP sign-ups from day one.

Challenges & Goals
The Challenges

Asset Constraints: Without finalized food photography, the design had to rely heavily on stock imagery and typography to convey quality without looking generic.

Platform Limits: Working within the constraints of a specific CMS (Popmenu) required creative CSS solutions to achieve a bespoke, high-end look.

Single-Page Balance: The site needed to tell a complete story—Menu, Ambience, Location, and VIP—on a single scroll without feeling cluttered or overwhelming.

The Goals

Brand Definition: Extract a sophisticated palette (Olive, Gold, Black) and typography system to establish a "Modern French" identity.

Conversion Focus: Map a linear user journey that guides visitors effortlessly from the "Welcome" hero to the "Order Online" CTA.

Local Discovery: Implement robust SEO and Schema markup to ensure the new café ranks for "crepes and coffee in Gonzales" immediately.

Strategy & Approach
Phase 1: Visual Identity Engineering

We extracted the brand DNA directly from the logo, defining a palette of Olive Green (#64806e) and Gold (#c19f27) to evoke a natural, premium feel. To balance elegance with readability, we paired the script font Parisienne (Headings) with the clean Open Sans (Body), creating a typographic hierarchy that feels both French and modern.

Phase 2: Mobile-First Architecture

Recognizing that café customers are often on mobile, I implemented a mobile-first CSS approach. Using cascading media queries, we scaled typography from 32px on phones to massive 150px hero headings on desktop. Sticky navigation and gold hover accents were added to reinforce brand recognition and improve click-through rates.

Phase 3: Content & SEO Strategy

We structured the single-page layout into five distinct sections: Hero, Concept, Menu Highlights, Location, and VIP. Every section was written with SEO in mind, utilizing keywords like "Caribbean Bakery near Walnut Creek" and integrating LocalBusiness schema to boost local search visibility.
