Project Overview
From Home Kitchen to Digital Boutique

Kaci, a driven 18-year-old entrepreneur, successfully transformed her home-kitchen hobby into a strawberry-themed cookie boutique—but her business operations remained analog. Relying entirely on local word-of-mouth and Instagram DMs, she faced a hard ceiling on growth. Without a website or a Google Business Profile, the bakery was virtually invisible to anyone outside her immediate social circle.

The mission was to build a polished digital storefront that matched Kaci's passion. We needed to professionalize the brand, moving from "DM to order" to a fully automated, 24/7 e-commerce engine that captured the playful aesthetic of her cookies while handling the logistics of scaling a business.

Zero Footprint: The business was a digital ghost; with no website or Google listing, potential local customers couldn't find the bakery via search.

Operational Bottlenecks: Managing custom orders through phone calls and text messages was time-consuming and prone to errors.

Budget Sensitivity: Utilizing the "Essentials Plan," every feature implemented needed to demonstrate immediate ROI and efficiency gains.

The Goals

Brand Translation: Extract the hand-lettered, strawberry-themed vibe from Instagram and codify it into a cohesive web design system.

Automated Commerce: Implement Popmenu OLO to allow customers to customize, order, and pay for cookies via mobile, removing the manual workload.

Local Legitimacy: Create and verify a Google Business Profile to put Cookie Creations "on the map" literally and figuratively.

Strategy & Approach
Phase 1: Visual Strategy

We extracted a playful palette of Strawberry Red (#aa0f0f) and Pink (#ed9e9e) from the client's existing logo to craft an elegant yet youthful UI. We utilized responsive SCSS theming to ensure the heavy background art loaded beautifully on desktops but was hidden on mobile devices to maintain lightning-fast load speeds.

Phase 2: The Local Ecosystem

We didn't just build a website; we built a local presence. We created and verified the Google Business Profile, embedding the map directly onto the site. We wrote keyword-rich copy targeting "bakery in Mona, UT" and added alt-text to every product image to boost organic visibility in image search.

Phase 3: Operational Automation

To solve the manual ordering issue, we integrated Popmenu OLO with Apple Pay capabilities. We built dedicated quick-quote forms for Catering and Private Events that route inquiries straight to Kaci’s inbox, effectively automating the sales pipeline and cutting response times in half.
