Project Overview
Turning "Hangry" into Happy in North Georgia

Hangry’s Grill is a beloved staple in Clarkesville, GA, famous for handcrafted burgers and hand-dipped ice cream. Despite the quality of their food, their digital presence was dated and lacked the "Come Hangry, Leave Happy" spirit of the brand. More critically, the business was losing significant margins to third-party delivery apps and struggling to rank for local keywords, leaving revenue on the table.

The mission was to reclaim ownership of the customer journey. We needed to build a modern, high-performance website that showcased the freshness of their made-to-order fare while aggressively driving direct online orders to reduce third-party dependency and boost profitability.

Margin Erosion: Reliance on third-party platforms for online orders was cutting into profits; the existing site lacked clear calls-to-action to drive direct sales.

Brand Dilution: The legacy website was visually stale, failing to reflect the vibrant, friendly personality of the owners or the fresh quality of the ingredients.

Search Invisibility: The site was not ranking for high-intent terms like "best burgers in North Georgia," limiting organic foot traffic.

The Goals

Direct Revenue: Implement a frictionless Popmenu OLO integration to increase direct digital orders by 30%+.

Visual Refresh: Develop a custom palette using Sage Green (#95a38c) and Creamy White (#fdfffd) to evoke freshness and approachability.

Lead Generation: Build robust funnels for Catering and Private Events to capture high-value inquiries for off-site and in-restaurant celebrations.

Strategy & Approach
Phase 1: Brand Immersion & SEO

We started with a deep dive into the owners' story to extract the brand's DNA. We identified a target keyword strategy focusing on "Clarkesville GA burgers" and "Georgia hand-dipped ice cream." Visually, we moved to a Sage Green and Cream palette paired with high-contrast typography to create a clean, inviting aesthetic.

Phase 2: UX & Commerce Architecture

We structured the homepage for conversion. Sticky headers keep the "Order Now" button always within reach. We built a dynamic menu with dietary filtering and integrated a full Online Store for merchandise and gift cards, turning the website into a multi-channel revenue stream.

Phase 3: Technical Performance

We built for speed and accessibility. I implemented custom CSS to ensure pixel-perfect responsiveness across devices and adhered to WCAG compliance for color contrast. Behind the scenes, we injected Restaurant, MenuItem, and Event schema markup to secure rich snippets in Google search results.
